Difference between a 64-bit and a 32-bit system?
64-bit and 32-bit are the bit sizes of the Windows operating system for different processor architectures. A 32-bit system runs on x86 processors, a 64-bit system runs on x64 processors.
- 32-bit Windows does not support more than 4 gigabytes of RAM
- 64-bit Windows supports more than 4 gigabytes of RAM
You cannot install the 64-bit version of PotPlayer on a computer with a 32-bit processor architecture. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the PotPlayer program can be installed on a computer with a 64-bit processor architecture.
- If your computer has 4 gigabytes of RAM or less, you are most likely running 32-bit Windows – download PotPlayer 32-bit media player
- If your computer has more than 4 gigabytes of RAM, you are most likely running 64-bit Windows – download PotPlayer 64-bit media player
- If you don’t know your computer’s CPU architecture or RAM size, try installing the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of PotPlayer one by one, starting with the 64-bit version
Windows 11 is 64-bit only, the 64-bit version of the PotPlayer program will be suitable for installation.
